Does your furry friend have a personality as big as Wallowa County? Let’s capture their unique charm with stunning, professional pet portraits!
I specialize in creating timeless images that you’ll cherish for years to come. Whether your dog is a playful pup, a dignified senior, or somewhere in between, I’ll work with you to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where their true character shines through.
Capturing your dog’s personality or the relationship between you and your dog is so much fun. If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about folks, it’s that we love our fur babies. Conveniently, there are many great areas in and around Wallowa County that make great backdrops for dog photography.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may know me as MountainDogsPhoto. If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place! I’ve enjoyed having a spot to focus on my pet photography with this account.
If you are as excited about pet portraits as I am, let me know! I’d love to learn about your pet and what your goals are for your photo session.

Have questions about pet portraits? I’ve created a list of my most frequently asked questions to help you feel confident about your pet’s photo session. If you don’t see your question listed, please reach out! I’m happy to help.
Q: Does my dog need to know any special tricks for our photo shoot?
A: The short answer is no, your pup does not need to have any special training for us to grab some great shots. However, if you would like to showcase different tricks or practice before your photo shoot, I’m happy to make some suggestions! One of the best tricks for a pup to know on a photo shoot is stay/wait. This gives me a few seconds to snap some great photos. Other fun tricks include sit, down, rest (chin on the ground), and beg. Again, your dog does not need to be specially trained for us to capture some stellar photos.
Q: Is it okay to keep my dog’s leash on during the photo shoot?
A: Yes, absolutely. My primary concern is your dog’s safety. If you are most comfortable with having your dog on a leash for the photo shoot, that is absolutely fine with me! I will teach you how to help pose your dog on-leash when we begin our shoot. To help me with the editing process, please use your thinnest leash possible and avoid using a harness for the shoot. If you have a flashy collar or other cute accessories you’d like to show off, you’re welcome to bring them.
Q: Should I bring treats?
A: Yes, please bring plenty of food, treats, or toys to help keep your pup’s eyes focused on the camera.
Q: I’d like to be photographed with my dog. What should I wear?
A: Generally, I suggest wearing colors that compliment your dog’s fur color or the landscape we do the shoot in. Neutral tones usually appear much better in prints or on screen than bright colors do. But hey, if you want a neon-themed shoot, let me know and we’ll find a way to make it work.
Q: What time of year is best for pet portraits?
A: Any time! However, late summer and fall are my absolute favorites. Winter shoots can be a lot of fun, too. It’s good to remember the feeling that you get when you look at a photo. Winter photos are perfect to pull out as the weather gets colder and “cozy season” begins.
Q: I see that you’re based in Enterprise, Oregon. I’d like to request photos for a location outside of the Wallowa County area. Are you willing to travel?
A: Oregon is a big, beautiful place, and I would love the opportunity to travel to your desired photo shoot location. Please for details and note that travel fees do apply for photo locations outside of the Joseph/Enterprise area.
Q: How soon will I get my photos?
A: Please allow 2-3 weeks after our session for me to edit and return your photos.
Q: How will you send me the photos?
A: Photos are delivered digitally via Dropbox or on a USB thumb drive. Prints are not included, but are available to purchase. I use a professional photo lab to print all photos, and I’m happy to walk you through products and pricing.
